Artist Lola Young in Judicial Conflict with Music Producer of Her Hit Song
Singer Lola Young has initiated legal action versus the beatmaker of her popular track Messy in a dispute concerning writing credits.
The English singer has filed an intellectual property court claim against Carter Lang, according to her legal team claiming she faced "no alternative" subsequent to he claimed composition credits on several in her discography, claims she "categorically disputes".
The US producer and composer has not yet responded.
The lawsuit was submitted in England on behalf of the singer and the publishing company recently. It came just one day following she postponed all shows "indefinitely", following a fainting episode during a performance at a New York venue.

The young artist gained popularity near the close of last year as Messy became a viral hit.
It remained a month in the top spot and is the second most-streamed track this year up to now within the United Kingdom.

Young's representative would not verify which particular compositions were involved in the conflict.

The producer is one of multiple beatmakers involved in the popular track and partnered with her on a number of other compositions.
He established himself through collaborations with R&B sensation SZA and currently stands as one of the most in-demand producers and songwriters in the industry, collaborating with well-known stars like the rapper, Justin Bieber, Renee Rapp and Rosé.
