KPop Demon Hunters Dominates Fortnite with Demon Rush Mode and New Skins
Earlier this week, Epic Games announced that a collaboration with KPop Demon Hunters would be arriving in Fortnite on October 2. Currently, more details about this team-up with the popular Netflix film have been disclosed.
Demon Rush Mode: Key Features
The HUNTR/X members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey will face waves of demons in the limited-time Demon Rush mode, which is inspired by Fortnite's Horde Rush gameplay. Rumi's Empowered Sword and Zoey's Golden Bubble Shield will be useful for fending off these fiends, and bonuses based on the film can be acquired between each Survival Phase. This new mode starts on October 2 and run through November 1, just in time for the spooky season.
New Outfits and Items
Skins, gear, and dance moves from KPop Demon Hunters will arrive in the Fortnite Shop, and gamers can complete quests from the idols to unlock new items like Mira’s X-tra Spicy Ramyeon. Similar to other figures in Fortnite, the K-pop stars have also been turned into Lego versions, with Lego-style models of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey ready for use.
Options for Creators
Fortnite creators will have fun with the latest update as they can use film-inspired assets, unique in-game tools, fearsome demon enemies, and the hunter characters. According to a news release, developers can design close-combat maps or remix their existing islands starting Oct. 2.
What’s Next
The arrival of KPop Demon Hunters in Fortnite surely won't be the final news about HUNTR/X. A sequel is likely, and a prequel could also be in the works.
