Renowned Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Known For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
American performer Finn, who was seen in iconic television series including "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has passed away at 60 years old.
The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in LA recently following treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, as reported by media reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - solely future friends he had yet to meet," his family stated in a message.
They continued that he had "embraced life completely - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive Television Career
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he played the titular character's brother.
He also had a regular part on "Murphy Brown" between 1995 and 1997.
He played the part of Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in the late 90s, portraying a social organizer known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous well-known programs, including:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- "House"
He was most recognized for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", appearing throughout eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His work in movies include It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".
Off-Screen Life
Away from his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.
"He guided, supported, and advised countless students throughout the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find a person anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
In a tribute, colleague and actor actor Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," he posted publicly.
The actor is leaves behind his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his parents and siblings.
