Toy Story 5 Teaser Sets Woody and Buzz Against a Tablet Computer
It has been 30 years after the first Toy Story film was released, launching Pixar as a major film company and introducing viewers to beloved figures like Woody (Tom Hanks) and the space ranger (Tim Allen), who are now famous worldwide.
In 2026, the next chapter is scheduled for release. The first teaser trailer for Toy Story 5 appeared recently, offering a glimpse into the storyline but leaving fans curious how it will resolve the conclusion of Toy Story 4.
The Latest Addition: A Digital Device Frightens the Gang
The preview reveals the young girl — who received the toy collection when he grew up — getting a brand new plaything, one that alarms Woody, Buzz, and the crew. She gets her initial digital gadget, and she is thrilled about it.
Presumably, the amphibian-inspired device will come to life just like Bonnie's other toys. However, the characters appear to consider it as a danger intending to supplant them, which it likely will.
The Cowboy's Comeback: Unanswered Questions from Toy Story 4
One thing the trailer avoids is what Woody is returned with his friends in Bonnie's room. The end of Toy Story 4 saw him embark on a fresh journey with the shepherdess (the actress), journeying with a carnival and assisting prize toys locate loving owners.
Surely, Pixar will explain the aftermath of Toy Story 4 in the film. Witnessing him appear in Bonnie's room without warning is a little strange, though. It also makes us wonder whether Bo Peep will have returned with him. And where is the stuntman toy (the star)?
Connections from the Last Installment
At the very least, some aspects are continuing from the earlier movie. The final act the cowboy did before departing for his fresh path was pass his sheriff badge to Jessie (the voice actor), entrusting her as the leader of Bonnie's bedroom. The clip shows the insignia pinned to her outfit.
Hopefully she is remains the driving force among the group.
