Zayn Malik and Tomlinson Will Reunite for Streaming Giant Road Trip Show
Ex- 1D members Zayn Malik & Louis Tomlinson are poised to reunite for a new streaming travel documentary series.
The docuseries will allegedly track the pair as they journey across the United States. At the helm will be Nicola Marsh, the director previously directed the Demi Lovato documentary titled Child Star.
The announcement arrives approximately a year after the unfortunate passing of their ex- bandmate Liam Payne, who passed away in an accident in Argentina. In a homage shortly afterwards, Malik referred to Payne as his “brother” during a show, while Tomlinson described him “the most vital part” of One Direction via Instagram.
The group, created on The X Factor in 2010, rose to become one of the most successful boybands in history, moving more than 70 million records. Malik left in 2015 and has since pursued a successful path, while Tomlinson put out his third record recently.
Prior to Payne’s death, reports suggested that the group was planning a comeback performance. Payne has since been seen after his death in Netflix’s reality show Building the Band.
Malik and Louis had a social media spat away in 2015, when the one accused the latter of making “snide comments” online.
This pair were seen in public not long ago, and Tomlinson was questioned about speculation that they would be working together. “I heard that,” he responded. “I found that was pretty intriguing, yeah … Pretty astute. I guess they’ll just have to wait and see.”
Last month, Malik announced a Las Vegas residency set for the coming year.
The currently untitled show is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2026. It represents the latest celebrity-led documentary venture on the platform, with upcoming films featuring names including Victoria Beckham, Eddie Murphy, and the pop group Take That.
